Despite scoring one of the greatest ever Champions League final goals a little over 12 months ago, Bale is not in Zidanes plans and was dropped for the last three games of the season.And he has fallen further down the pecking order since the transfer window opened, following the arrivals of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic. Hazards move from Chelsea,for a fee that could exceed 150m, has even been construed as a message to Bale from Zidane to find another club.

He said on Thursdays Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: I think it would benefit him to come back and play regular football again and play in a team at the top end of the Premier League.Personally, I think hes gone a little bit stale at Real Madrid.He needs a move to freshen him up and revitalise him and get him back on the pitch where we all know how brilliant he can be.Wed all be glad to see him back.
